The Service Company must:
Have a State Tax ID number.
Have a certificate of liability insurance.
Have a phone listed in the local directory, showing name and address.
Provide invoices showing name and address of company and must be presented upon receipt of any payment.
Answer phone calls personally by a company employee (no answering machines during normal business hours).
Have technicians that present themselves in a neat professional manner.
Provide a "walk in" facility for drop-offs and sales of replacement parts.
Have at least one vehicle dedicated for service.
Warranty all work for a period of at least 30 days to the consumer.
Provide office personnel during normal business hours.
Have one employee designated to expedite consumer problems.
Must possess factory literature for each brand that it is authorized to service.
Stock an adequate amount of parts necessary to minimize the repair time for the products it represents.
Maintain test equipment that is adequate for the products you are authorized to service by the manufacturers.
